If you wish to tutor at a specific school or university you may have to take their tutoring course or earn their certificate if they provide one. However, in my experience there usually is not one. Usually you have to learn as you go and you either sink or swim. That is why this course exists, to make sure that you are prepared when you walk into a tutoring session or classroom.
  2. This course is not to allow you to begin your own tutoring business, rather the basics of tutoring, how to get clients, how to keep clients, how to tutor them. This is not a course to teach you how to be an in home tutor. However you can use these practices in order to continue to tutor clients throughout their academic career. The only thing holding you back is how far and in-depth your own knowledge is.

You will be able to find advice from tutors and activities to do with your students for free, but you will not be able to find the information provided in this course for free. In this course, we go over strategies and information that tutors never share with anyone.
How long do I have access to the course?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like - across any and all devices you own.
What if I am unhappy with the course?

Do I have to purchase anything after I buy this course?
Short answer no. You can begin tutoring with a piece of paper and a pencil. You don't need much material. Though in this course I do suggest for you to purchase to some additional materials to help you with your tutoring sessions. Make them Mainstream creates products for tutors to make their lives easier, but none of these products are absolutely necessary for you to be a tutor.
